Rule #1 – Offensive Language.
Just say no, really. You can’t use any racist or obscene language, terrorize your game mates, or anything like that. It’s a simple rule really, just play nice out there.
Rule #2 – Item Scamming
No matter what the MMO you are playing, whether its World of Warcraft or Runescape, there will always be cheaters out there trying to get your account, your gold, or your real world cash. Don’t deceive your other players, and hopefully you won’t be getting scammed yourself.
Rule #3 – Password Scamming
Very similar to Rule #2, this is where they are going to pass themselves off as being an employee
that needs your password to secure things, or any other story. There is never a reason that anyone needs your password. Keep that in mind.
Rule #4 – Cheating & Bug Abuse
This rule came into affect from those that find flaws in the game (bugs) and use them to their advantage instead of reporting them. It also comes to play where the players resort to installing bots on their end so that they can earn or level up faster in the game. Keep it to where it’s just you playing and you play fair.
Rule #5 – Fatality Staff Impersonation
Delusions of grandeur perhaps? Most of the time this rule goes along with the scamming one. The people pass themselves off as staff of Fatality and try to get items or passwords from you. This should never work and you need to know better than to do it in a game.
Rule #6 – Account Sharing and Trading
Your account needs to be ran by one person and one person only – You. Don’t share accounts and don’t go into trading your accounts. I see this nearly every day and while many will say “Who does it hurt?”, Fatality doesn’t want you to do it so that’s all the reasoning you need. Don’t get your account pulled for thinking you know best.
Rule #7 – Third Party Software
This is partially tied into the cheating rule, and you don’t need to use software or bots to run your account so that you have an advantage over anyone else. All accounts should be player ran and under player limitations (If they see an account that has been playing for 72 hours straight, chances are they know its not really you). Keep your head about you and all is good.
Rule #8 – X Logging
X logging is against the rules.
This means that you are not allowed to log in, log out, log in, log out.
An example of "X Logging" is SyiPkPker. Multiple accounts log in, auto, and try to crash the server.
Rule #9 – Encouraging Others to Break Rules
Rule 9 is the “Chicken” rule as I like to call it. One is there taunting another to do something that could get their account banned to prove something. Don’t taunt others to break the rules and don’t yourself be taunted into breaking one of the rules.
Rule #10 – Misuse of Customer Support
There are those that constantly are reporting things, or trying to subvert the system and get things that they would normally not get. Don’t use Customer Support unless you really have a problem. It’s there for a reason, try not to abuse it.
Rule #11 – Advertising of a Website
Fatality may seem like a public forum of sorts but it isn’t. Don’t broadcast your forum or website or any other form of free advertising or you may see your account pulled faster than you can blink. This also goes out of game to their Fatality forums as well.
Rule #12 – Real World Trading
If you are doing any types of trading it has to be done in game. You can’t trade items for real world items, money, or other things. Make sure that you are getting in game services or items for your in game services or items.
Rule #13 – Personal Details
It goes to say, that you shouldn’t ever give out your personal details. Fatality isn’t a dating service, it’s trying to crack down on scams, and it’s a good way to wind up with some form of identity theft or hacking. Just keep your persona as close to the fantasy as possible and not as a direct reflection of yourself.
Rule #14 – Misuse of Forums
Tied a bit to the Advertising rule, you don’t need to use the forums for personal gain. You also can’t use the forums to hash out any beef you have with players. Keep the message boards clean and respectful. It is a place for information and guidance, not anything else.
Rule #15 – Advert Blocking
If you are a free player don’t try to block the adverts in the game. You are a free player, if you don’t want adverts subscribe to the members area. These adverts are what is making it possible for you to play for free in the game, let’s remember that alright? Keep them where they are.
